How to Install Privig Search
A quick walkthrough from download to your first search.
Download the Windows Installer
Get the installer from the Privig Search download page. You’ll receive your link by email.
Open the .exe Installer
Locate the downloaded file and double-click it to start setup.
Follow the Installation Instructions
Follow the on-screen steps to install Privig Search on your PC.
Launch Privig Search
Open the application once installation completes.
Allow Initial Indexing
Privig Search will index your Desktop, Documents and Downloads folders. In early testing, indexing several thousand files took only a few seconds — actual time will vary with how many files you have.
Press Ctrl + P and Start Searching
That’s it — press the shortcut from anywhere and start typing.

Privig Search is designed to run quietly in the background so the shortcut is available whenever you need it.
Startup Behavior
Coming Soon — a setting to control whether Privig Search launches at Windows startup will be documented at release.
Changing Settings
Coming Soon — an in-app settings panel is planned for a future release.
Stopping / Closing the App
Privig Search can be closed like any other Windows application from the system tray or Task Manager.
